The Proposals
The development proposals for the site include the following:

Up to 230 new homes - including the provision of affordable homes for the local community, alongside a range of family homes and homes for first time buyers;

Provision of 50% affordable housing on site;

A substantial green infrastructure network – including generous green buffers around the eastern perimeter of the site, green areas between the development plots, retention of existing hedgerows and trees where possible, and green corridors and linkages creating new opportunities for ecological enhancement;

New footways and cycleways through the site to provide permeability and connect the site to the wider area;

Safe, new vehicular accesses from Chew Moor Lane;​

Pedestrian and cycle links – including the improvement of the Public Right of Way through the centre of the southern field parcel and eastern edge of the northern field parcel.

The application will be supported by a full Transport Assessment. It will be informed by surveys to assess the local highway capacity. It will also establish whether any mitigation may be required.
